Description of TexNet
Texarkana Regional Healthcare Network (TexNet) was formed in 1994 to support the delivery of healthcare to the public by procuring managed care contracts with health plans and individual employers and providing a local physician, facility and staff infrastructure to support those contracts. The TexNet Board of Directors currently consists of four primary care physicians, three specialty care physicians, and a medical director. Currently, TexNet consists of approximately 294 area physicians covering a fifty-mile radius around Texarkana, seven area hospitals and numerous ancillary providers. The comprehensive physician network, advanced medical facilities, and ancillary services of TexNet offer the availability of quality healthcare at affordable pricing. Each committee is chaired by a member of the TexNet Board of Directors and consists of at least two other persons, one of which is an employee of Wadley Health System or any of its subsidiaries.
