The Wadley Auxiliary boasts nearly 100 active senior volunteers who unselfishly donate thousands of hours of time and service to the Wadley Health System each year. The Auxiliary also supports a Junior Volunteer Program, offering teenagers an avenue to learn and serve in the hospital setting.

Volunteers staff such hospital service areas as the Information Desk, Surgery Waiting, Emergency Department, and the Cancer Treatment Center.

The Auxiliary maintains a spacious, full-service and customer-friendly Gift Shop, located on the main floor of the medical center, near the lobby. The Auxiliary also conducts several fundraising events each year and much of the proceeds is donated back to the Medical Center for improvements.

Our volunteers provide additional services to include:
  • answer telephone calls
  • assist visitors to different locations within the Medical Center
  • help with the discharge of patients
  • deliver flowers and mail
  • distribute juice, coffee and newspapers to the Intensive Care Unit Waiting Areas
Since its origin in 1959, the Wadley Auxiliary has donated over $1.5 million dollars to the Medical Center for equipment needs and furnishings in the Medical Center. Additionally, the volunteers have now provided more than 2-million hours of invaluable service to the betterment of the patients, visitors and guests of Wadley Regional Medical Center.

The most recent gift to the hospital from our Auxiliary is the beautiful street clock that gracefully adorns the main entrance to the Wadley campus. This clock commemorates two very special milestones:
  • 100 years of faithful service Wadley Regional Medical Center has provided the residents of Texarkana and the surrounding area.

  • 2-Million hours of volunteer service to the Medical Center
