Cardiopulmonary Services
The Cardiopulmonary Department is located on the medical center's second floor, and includes the Respiratory Care Department, Non-Invasive Cardiology, Vascular Lab, Sleep Lab and EEG Departments.
The Cardiopulmonary Department provides both diagnostic services, and therapeutic services, treating a patient population from newborn to geriatrics. Our services are available as an inpatient or outpatient and in the emergency department as well.
Some of the services we provide include: bronchoscopy, pulmonary function studies, echocardiograms, a variety of vascular studies, EKGs, EEGs, and holter monitors. All sleep studies are done as an inpatient, and patients register in for overnight sleep studies through the emergency department.
Recently, the Medical Center was awarded the "Top 100 Hospitals" award for their outstanding care of patients in the Intensive Care environment, and our Cardiopulmonary Department plays a major role inthe care of the critically-ill patient.
Our Cardiopulmonary Department utilizes the Drager Ventilator, the most patient friendly, state-of-the art ventilator available in Texarkana and only available at Wadley.
Hours of Operation
The Respiratory Care Department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The various other departments of Cardiopulmonary are open Monday through Friday, ranging from 7am-4:30pm.
